Camp NACster – Traditional Variety Camp

Ages 3-12 | 9:00AM-3:00PM

Every day in Camp NACster is a new adventure, jam-packed with a variety of activities including group games, sports, arts & crafts, swimming and more! Once a week, campers also have the chance to try out NAC Youth Programs classes like Zumba, Tae Kwon Do, Fun Fitness and Gymnastics. At the beginning of each week, campers are divided into groups by grade level and follow a customized schedule for the remainder of the week.

In addition to all the fun games and activities, campers in Camp NACster enjoy an hour of recreational swim every day in the NAC’s outdoor pool complex. A certified American Red Cross lifeguard conducts a swim test each Monday for every camper. Campers who do not pass or do not want to take the swim test will be provided with a swim belt.

Every Wednesday, NACster campers are able to attend an optional field trip to a variety of popular destinations in the area at an additional cost. Summer 2017 field trips include Shady Brook Farm, Giggleberry Fair, the Bucks County Children’s Museum and many more. For a full list of dates and scheduled trips, please refer to the NACster activity calendar on the next page. Campers who choose not to attend the field trips will stay back at our facility where alternate activities will be offered.

NACster – What does a NACster camper looks like?

  • Your NACster camper loves a fast paced environment and has many interests. NACster has a daily theme which leaves your camper always moving and doing a little bit of everything.

Each day in Camp NACster is a new adventure, packed full with a variety of activities including: games, sports, arts & crafts, swimming, and more! Campers also have the chance to try out NAC youth programs classes like Zumba, Tae Kwon Do, Fun Fitness and Gymnastics. At the beginning of each week, campers are divided into age appropriate groups and will follow a customized schedule for the remainder of the week. Each day, NACster campers participate in games or activities that relate to a daily theme.

This camp also allows campers to get out and go on a field trip, at an additional cost, once per week. Campers have their online permission slip completed and payment prior to the trip. This can be found online via your CampMinder account. Campers choosing not to attend the field trip will follow an alternate schedule back at camp. Please see the activity calendar for a list of field trips.
Sometimes NACster gets a little competitive, but things always calm down with a noncompetitive activity such as an arts and craft project or their daily time in the NAC’s outdoor pool complex. Campers spend 1 hour a day in our outdoor complex, weather permitting. A certified American Red Cross lifeguard provides a swim test to each camper on Mondays. Campers who do not pass the swim test or do not wish to take the test will be given a life jacket for their safety.

Campers in NACster will be divided each week by grade level to allow age-appropriate activities for each group. They will spend the duration of the week with their group. Each group has 1-3 counselors who will attend to their campers throughout the week.  This is important as it allows campers to grow with kids their own age just as they would in school and also to develop friendships with their counselors as well.
