How to Prepare Your Camper for Color Games!

Here at Camp NAC, all of our campers and counselors favorite week of the summer is Week 6. This is true because of one reason, COLOR GAMES! All summer long, everyone in Camp NAC looks forward to Color Games. What is Color Games, you might ask. I’m sure your camper has participated in Field Day during the school year. Well, Color Games is like a week-long field day, but better!!
To participate in Color Games, your camper must be enrolled in our NACster Camp for Week 6, July 13th – July 17th. At the beginning of that week, we will split our campers and counselors into two separate teams, the RED TEAM and the BLUE TEAM. After our campers are split into the two teams, then the fun can begin! Throughout the week, there will be a huge variety of activities in which the Red Team of a certain age group will compete against the Blue Team of that same age group. The counselors will keep score throughout the week and we will declare a winner at the end of the week!
Some competitions include soccer, Zumba, gaga, tug-of-war, dodge-ball, obstacle courses, inflatables, knockout and many more! Also, on Friday, the Blue Team counselors and the Red Team counselors will each perform a choreographed dance where a panel of judges as well as campers will decide the winner! Last year the Red Team counselors were the winners!
Here are some ways your camper can prepare for the ultimate, week-long field day experience that is Color Games:

  • Attend our Color Games themed Camp Sleepover on Thursday, July 9th (Click to learn more!)
  • Practice the competitions at home with their friends
  • Be sure to have plenty of blue or red attire
  • Have red or blue face paint and hair spray to show the other team you mean business!
  • Be ready to have FUN!

This is one week of Camp NAC that your camper does not want to miss!
