Camp Crew: Meet Kelsey!
Every Wednesday, we will be featuring a member of our Camp Crew! We love our team members and counselors and want our parents and campers to get familiar with our staff.
This week we will be featuring our Assistant Camp Director for Summer 2016, Kelsey Brown. Kelsey has been part of the Newtown Athletic Club team for the past nine years, starting out as a coach for gymnastics and swimming. Kelsey received her degree in Middle Grades Education, which allows her to make sure all camp programs run smoothly and effectively. Learn more about Miss Kelsey, and why she loves Camp NAC so much:
1. What is your favorite part of the summer?
“My favorite part of summer is definitely color games. The kids get so into it and come dressed up – it’s nice to have some healthy competition at camp! Another reason I love it is the staff. They impress me every year with how dedicated they are to color games, and the dance is always fantastic!”
2. What is your favorite camp memory?
“When I went to camp I always loved the counselors. Whenever we competed versus the counselors we always had so much fun.”
3. If you were a camper, which camp would you want to enroll in & why?
“I would enroll in the Hungry Games because I love eating! The Hungry Games campers will be cooking yummy foods and get to spend the day working at our pretend restaurant with friends. They will also get to tour the NACafe and Escape Restaurant, which will be such a cool experience.”
Kelsey’s love for children and her commitment to the Camp NAC team, drives her to help each and every camper have an unforgettable experience at Camp NAC.
