Goodbye Miss Kelsey!

After ten years on the Camp NAC team, Director Kelsey Brown will have her last day on Wednesday, August 3. Kelsey started out her career at the Newtown Athletic Club when she was 14 as a gymnastics coach. Later, she began working as a camp counselor during the summers. After working her way up and taking on various leadership roles in camp, Kelsey took on the assistant director role last summer and was promoted to director for Summer 2016.
“Camp NAC has given me the opportunity to develop my own leadership potential and realize my passion for working with children. I have gotten to be a part of so many campers memories and they have become a part of mine which is truly remarkable,” explains Kelsey. “The best part has been to see some of the campers who have been here for many years grow. You don’t realize how much you are growing until you see the kids start to grow too!”
Kelsey, who spent the last year teaching middle school in the Philadelphia School District, has accepted a teaching position in Virginia for the 2016-2017 school year. The Camp NAC team is very excited for Kelsey and wishes her the best of luck on this new adventure. Kelsey will be at Escape Restaurant at 5:30PM on Wednesday, August 3 to say goodbye to any campers and parents that want to stop by.
Katlin Doolan will replace Kelsey as Camp NAC director for the remainder of the summer. For questions or concerns about camp, Katlin can be contacted at 215-944-8860 or katlin@campnac.com.
