- Leisure and competitive sports are designed for campers ages 6-12 of all skill levels. If your camper loves to be active and spend time outdoors, our sports camps are a great fit.
Competitive Sports – Ages: 6-12
What does competitive sports look like?
- Competitive sports camps are focused on skill-building and provide specific training for athletes. Our instructors take a hands-on approach to help improve campers’ skills and work on form. These camps are best for campers who are more serious about sports and are looking to learn new skills.
- At the start of each week, campers will be divided into groups based on age and ability:
- Ages 6-8
- Ages 9-12
Basketball (Weeks 4, 8)
Dribble on down to basketball camp. We’ll get campers NBA ready through a variety of drills, scrimmages and skill-building fundamentals. This week is sure to be a slam dunk! Includes Parisi.
Competitive Swim (Week 8)
Future Olympians will strengthen their swimming techniques by working on various strokes and techniques. Campers will paticipate in friendly mock meets to encourage their competitive sides. Includes Parisi.
Flag Football (Weeks 5, 10)
Who’s ready to play some football?! Campers will learn drills, practice techniques and participate in scrimmages. Flag Football is a non-contact sport, so campers will hone their skills while decreasing the risk of injury. Includes Parisi.
Football Academy* (Week 6)
Hut, hut, hike! This camp is dedicated to dramatically improving your camper’s football skills and abilities through goal-oriented and position-specific training. Become the football star you always dreamed to be.
Gymnastics (Weeks 3, 4, 11, 12)
Calling all gymnasts! We’ll go in depth to teach trampoline, uneven bars, vault and the balance beam. At the start of the week, campers will be separated by skill level to ensure they get the most out of each lesson. Includes Parisi.
Intro to Softball (Week 9)
Going, going, gone! Campers can look forward to improving their swing, arm and team spirit. Each camper will get to work individually with our instructor and ask questions to take their game to the next level. Includes Parisi.
Jr. Golfers* (Weeks 9, 11)
This is a TEErific camp! Jr. Golfers will work with instructors on the various aspects of golfing like: putting, driving, footwork and swing path. Campers will learn at the NAC’s In Club Golf Studio in addition to spending days on a real golf course.
NEW! Philadelphia Sports (Weeks 9, 10)
This action-packed camp will foster athletic skills, teamwork and healthy habits. Each day we will focus on a different Philly sports team: Eagles football, Sixers basketball, Flyers hockey, Phillies baseball and Philadelphia Union soccer. This camp is ideal for learning and making friends who share your passion for Philly sports teams! Includes Parisi.
Rock Starz All Star Cheer* (Weeks 5, 7)
This challenging camp will test your skills all week long. Campers will not only perform difficult stunts, dances and tumbling, but will learn how to have fun while doing it. All the camper’s hard work will be worth it in the end. Please note, this is a competitive cheer camp. No sideline cheers will be taught or practiced.
Soccer (Week 7)
They shoot… they SCORE! Campers will enjoy building skills like dribbling and passing while learning the basic rules of the game. Campers will be divided up
by skill-level at the start of the week. Let us help you take your soccer skills to the next level! Includes Parisi.
Tae Kwon Do* (Weeks 3, 12)
Self-confidence, discipline and courage. These traits can be achieved through the art of Tae Kwon Do. At Camp NAC, our Tae Kwon Do camp is led by Grand Master Robert Smith, an 8th Degree Black belt. See for yourself the incredible things Tae Kwon Do can do for your camper.
Leisure Sports – Ages: 6-12
What does leisure sports look like?
- Leisure sports camps are structured like a physical education class, designed to create a fun environment and keep campers active. These camps are great for campers who like to try a variety
of sports and are focused on fun.
NEW! Adventure Team Building (Week 6)
This week of camp focuses on bringing people together by encouraging collaboration and teamwork! Engage in fun activities to develop confidence, self-esteem and inner strength.
Boys Rule (Week 9)
Campers will be put to the test with an action-packed schedule designed to challenge even the most energetic campers. Participate in fun activities like obstacle courses, rocket launching and spending time in our awesome outdoor pool. Grab some friends and see if you can keep up with Boys Rule! Includes Parisi.
Cinderella Warrior (Week 11)
Don’t let the word “Cinderella” fool you, this is not just a dress up and put-on-makeup camp. This girls-only bootcamp will allow your little princess to get their hands dirty during all the action-packed activities and fitness fun! Includes Parisi.
Extreme Warrior (Weeks 5, 8)
Do you have what it takes to become an Extreme Warrior? This camp will test your camper’s stamina to the extreme. From relay races and games to the notorious Spartan Race at the end of the week, get ready to sweat during this week of physical fun! Includes Parisi.
IT’S BACK! Sports Of All Sorts (Weeks 4, 12)
Is your camper a sports fanatic? Campers will participate in a wide variety of sports like basketball, volleyball and soccer. We’ll also take some time to explore uncommon games like ultimate frisbee, pickle ball and badminton. Learn new games and work together as a team to achieve maximum FUN! Includes Parisi.
NEW! Summer Olympic Games (Week 10)
Welcome to the 2020 Summer Olympics, hosted by Camp NAC! Each day will have a different theme for campers to test their skills in multi-sports events. Who will take home the gold medal? Includes Parisi.
Water Palooza (Weeks 3, 7)
If your camper loves water activities and being outside as much as we do, then this is the perfect camp for them! Campers can expect to have tons of fun sliding down our slip and slide, competing in a water balloon toss and spending time in our outdoor water park!
