Meet Our Leaders In Training
Camp NAC offers a Leaders In Training program with the goal of teaching teens the skills they need to become great leaders.
The purpose is to promote important leadership and life skills to young adults who have a genuine interest in working with kids, all while learning how to be a role model and leader in the community.
Meet Audrey Robb and Logan Hood:
Two of Camp NAC’s Leaders In Training
Audrey is in 7th grade at St. Andrews and will continue on to Archbishop Wood for high school. This is Audrey’s first year as an LIT and she hopes to use this experience to become a counselor at Camp NAC in the future. With 3 little brothers, Audrey could not stress the importance of childcare skills enough as she is always looking after her younger siblings. The Leaders In Training Program has participants spend a portion of each day assisting the counselors with the campers, and for Audrey that is her favorite part.
In addition, Audrey loves softball, drawing, and singing. Audrey did a lot of singing and drawing as she helped out with the Princess Camp last week! When asked about her future plans, Audrey had a unique answer: “I want to become the first woman Catholic Priest.” Audrey feels that to be a person who works in the faith, you must be able to talk and relate to people of all ages. For Audrey, LIT at Camp NAC is the start of advancing her skills in communication, teamwork and leadership.
Similar to Audrey, Logan is also in 7th grade at St. Andrews and intends to go to Archbishop Wood for high school. Logan has learned good communication and people skills from his experiences at Camp NAC. His goal is to meet new people and have fun this summer, while also learning important life skills from the LIT program. Logan aspires to be a counselor in the coming years! As for his future plans, Logan wants to either be a physical therapist or professional lacrosse player. Logan sees all of the skills learned in LIT as an asset in his future. He thinks he will now be more responsible when babysitting his little sister and have better teamwork skills if he decides to become a doctor. In addition, Logan says he will keep the cooking skills he has learned from the camps he has helped with in mind for the future!
These are Leaders In Training and we cannot wait to see what they will accomplish!
