Where Camp NAC Gets Inspiration

Every day, our campers come to camp and spend their day playing games, exploring new things, and making new friends. During this time of year, our Camp NAC staff is working hard to plan all the activities for each camp. With so many different specialty camps and our variety camp Camp NACster, there are so many places that Camp NAC gets inspiration.
We are always looking to find inspiration for new themes for specialty camps. Our Frozen themed half day specialty camp was inspired by the magical Disney movie. Queen Elsa and Olaf stop by during the week to sing and play with campers. Baking Bootcamp full day specialty camp is based on the popular cooking show Cupcake Wars. Campers will compete in their very own baking challenge to create the ultimate cupcake creation!
Campers love playing competitive games like volleyball and dodgeball. Many of our counselors have great memories from their time as campers playing these classic games. Our Assistant Camp Director Kelsey’s favorite game to play during camp is gaga. When planning activities to do for camps, sometimes the classics can’t be beat and inspiration is found in our staff’s past camp experiences!
Pinterest is another great tool that our staff loves to use to find inspiration for camp activities. In particular, Pinterest is great for finding fun and easy arts and crafts for creative campers. For our Little Chef and Junior Chef specialty camps, many of the delicious snacks campers will create are found from searching on Pinterest for simple and easy recipes. We know our campers have a wide variety of interests, which is why we offer so many different types of camps. Planning activities for our campers takes a lot of work so that campers can have their best summer ever!
