Camp Catch Up: Week 10
Each week, be sure to check out our Camp Catch Up on Friday to see what our campers have been up to all week!
All of our campers had an awesome week during Week 10 of camp! Our campers had so much fun doing tons of awesome activities like cooking, sports, gymnastics, and more! See what our campers enjoyed during the tenth week here at the best camp in Bucks County.
Half Day Specialty
The half day specialty camps offered this week were It’s a Bug’s Life and Lil Gymnastics.
Our It’s a Bugs Life campers had a blast this week playing tons of fun games and learning what life is like at an ant-sized scale! Campers spent each day learning about a different type of bug, then created cool buggy crafts.
This week was all about tumbling fun for our Lil Gymnastics campers. Campers learned the basics of each gymnastics element. Throughout the week, campers had the chance to test their skills and show off what they learned.
Full Day Specialty
The full day specialty camps offered this week were Junior Chef, The Challenge and Robotic K’NEX.
In Junior Chef, our campers got the chance to create some delicious meals. Lasagna cups, strawberry oatmeal bars and monkey bread were just a few of the yummy treats campers created. They also got to take home their very own cookbook so they can make their recipes again and again.
The Challenge campers put their brains and bodies to the test this week. With both mental challenges, like trivia and puzzle games, and physical challenges, like obstacle courses and races, campers had so much fun seeing if they could complete The Challenge!
It was an aspiring engineer’s dream this week in Robotic K’NEX camp. Campers got to play with a variety of K’NEX sets, that even had motors and moved around. From bridges and buildings to cool cars, their imagination was the limit to what these campers could build.
Sports Camps
This week’s sports camp was Flag Football!
Campers had the chance to try out this popular, non-contact sport. Campers went through drills throughout the week to build up their football skills. They also had a ton of fun participating in several scrimmage games during the week.
Teen Camps
Our Teen Travel campers went on two fun field trips this week! Wednesday, campers went mini golfing. It was a ton of fun to see who would be the Teen Travel champion! Friday, campers spent the day tubing down the river at Bucks County River Country.
This week, LITs had a blast learning all about this week’s theme – Business Management. Each day, LITs met with a member of the NAC management team to learn about what they do every day to help the business run and grow. They also spent the week working on a product that they pitched “Shark Tank” style on Friday to a panel of “investors.”
NACster
Our NACster campers follow an activity calendar with different themed days each week.
On Monday, campers spent the day playing Home Run Derby and other fun sports games. Each group had a chance to play.
Tuesday was Glow in the Dark Zumba day! Miss Amanda came to teach the campers Zumba, but it was lights out and glow sticks on!
Wednesday campers went on a field trip to the Planetarium, where they saw an awesome Laser Light Show!
Thursday, campers had the chance to extend the fun of their regular camp day and sleepover at Camp NAC with their favorite summer friends & counselors.
Following up the sleepover, Friday was Pajama Day! We had tons of fun hanging out in our PJs and watching movies.
