#CampCrew: Meet Derek

Every Wednesday, we feature a member of our Camp Crew! We love our team members and counselors and want our parents and campers to get familiar with our staff.
Our featured member this week is our Summer 2016 Camp NAC intern, Derek Gimbel. Derek has been with us all summer long, learning the ropes of Camp NAC operations and helping with special projects. Derek is great with kids and even stepped in to be a counselor some weeks. Derek is excited to be taking on the role of our Camp NAC Administrative Assistant, where he will help answer questions for all of our parents and manage the back end of our camp system. Get to know Derek a little better!
1) What is your favorite memory from Summer 2016?

My favorite memory was probably when the firetrucks came and I got soaked by the firehose.

2) What did you learn this summer as a Camp NAC intern?

I learned the decision making process that go into successfully running a business and the importance of planning and preparation in order for the camp to run smoothly.

3) If you were a camper, which Camp NAC camp would you enroll in?

I think that I would do Boys Rule because I think the mud slide would be a lot of fun and it would be nice to have a week without girls 🙂
