Camp Catch Up: Week 4

Each week, be sure to check out our Camp Catch Up on Friday to see what our campers have been up to all week!
All of our campers had an awesome week during Week 4 of camp! After a great week cooking, inventing, dribbling, exploring and more at Camp NAC, we cannot wait for another fun week! See what else our campers enjoyed during the fourth week here at the best camp in Bucks County.
Half Day Specialty
The half day specialty camp offered this week was Out & About.
Out & About campers spent the week enjoying the great outdoors. Campers created their own pair of binoculars and took to the outdoors to explore everything nature has to offer. One of the highlights of the week was an outdoor picnic where campers played “I Spy.”
Full Day Specialty
The full day specialty camps offered this week were Junior Chef and Inventor’s Workshop!
Our Junior Chefs learned their way around the kitchen this week at camp! Each day at camp, campers made their own snack and lunch, including things like fruit salsa, taco dip, pizza, and more! In addition, campers got to take home their very own cookbook so they can make the recipes at home!
Inventor’s Workshop campers got to explore their creative genius! Each day, campers worked on different projects and learned about famous inventors of the past. At the end of each day, inventors had the chance to have free build time, where they worked on their own inventions. What a fun week!
Sports Camps
The two sports camps this week were Basketball and Tumbling camps.
Campers enrolled in Basketball camp spent the week working on their skills. From dribbling and passing to defense and footwork, these campers worked all day every day on their basketball game. Campers also got the chance to scrimmage with their friends to learn how to apply skills in a real game!
All week long, campers in Tumbling camp worked on improving their floor skills. After being divided up by skill-level, campers could work on a variety of skills like back walkovers, back handsprings, flips and more!
Teen Camps
Teen Travel campers went on two of their own field trips this week, without our NACster campers! Wednesday, the teen campers went ice skating and on Friday campers went to the FunPlex for some go-carting!
This week, LITs had a blast learning all about this week’s theme – Conflict Resolution! LITs were able to take the lessons they learned about conflict resolution and really apply it in their groups. In addition, LITs were able to go Strawberry Picking at Shady Brook Farms with NACster.
NACster
Our NACster campers enjoy a different theme each day of the week to participate in a variety of activities.
On Monday, kids ruled! It was Kids’ Choice day at camp, so each group was able to select a few of their favorite activities to play during the morning activity period.
Tuesday campers broke a sweat on Kid’s Fitness day! Campers had a nutrition lesson and were led through an exercise circuit to keep them moving and active!
NACster campers took a trip down the road to Shady Brook Farms for some berry picking on Wednesday. In addition to picking their own fruit, campers rode on a tractor and were able to see the farm’s live animals.
Thursday was the first camp sleepover of the summer. Campers had a blast night swimming in the outdoor pool complex and playing fun games with their summer friends & counselors through the night.
Friday was PJ day at camp! After the sleepover, our NACster campers stayed in their comfy pajamas for the day. What a fun way to end the week.
