Camp Catch Up: Week 2

Every Friday, be sure to check out the Camp Catch Up to see what our awesome campers have been up to each week at Camp NAC!
Week 2 at Camp NAC was definitely a fun one! Our campers went on the first field trip of the summer to Churchville Nature Center and saw wild animals and went on a nature walk. Other activities this week included Pirate Day, swimming, games, and more! See what our Week 2 campers were up to this week at Camp NAC:
Half Day Specialty
This week the half day specialty camps were Whales Tales, Princess and Jr. Lego themed camps.
Whales Tales camp was back again this week! Campers enrolled in this splash-tastic camp once again got a chance to swim in the indoor pool and improve their swimming skills, as well as learn a bunch of new safety tips.
All of the little princesses enrolled in Princess camp had quite a magical week! Whether they were playing dress up, baking cookies, or decorating their own tiaras, these campers got the royal treatment! A surprise visit from Princess Cinderella for story time topped off the week!
Finally, Jr. Lego camp gave campers a chance to build and explore as well as create their own Lego masterpieces! Each day, campers would add to their Lego creation and at the end of the week they combined to build a Lego City!
Full Day Specialty
Week 2 was the first week for full day specialty camps! The two themes up this week were Gymnastics and Sports of All Sorts.
Gymnastics campers were kept busy with gymnastics-themed crafts and games, as well as taking time to practice all of their skills! Whether they were walking on the balance beam, jumping on the trampoline, or practicing their flips, these campers definitely had a FUNtastic time!
Sports of All Sorts campers spent their days being active! From soccer and kickball to basketball and more, these campers were constantly moving and practicing their skills.
NACster
NACster variety camp also had a fun and exciting time this past week! Each day, campers participated in activities that related to the theme of the day. Not even a rainy day on Thursday could stop the fun this week!
On Monday, campers and counselors got to compete against each other in a fun egg toss outside.
Tuesday was Pirate Day and campers got to dig for buried treasure all day and even got to walk the plank!
The adventure didn’t stop there though, and on Wednesday campers left the NAC to go and explore the Churchville Nature Center! Campers spent the morning out in the Bucks County fresh air on a nature walk and were back to Camp NAC in time for afternoon swimming!
On Thursday, campers were determined to continue the fun despite the cloudy weather. Campers competed once again against their counselors in a few games of tug-of-war.
Friday wrapped up a week of competing. The theme for NACster on Friday was counselor competitions, so campers were able to cheer on their favorite counselors before jumping in the fun themselves.
Camp Champs
Last but not least, our Camp Champs of the week! Our boy Camp Champ of the week is Jack who loves playing world cup and hanging out with his counselors. Ellie was our girl Camp Camp for this week. She loves going on Camp NAC field trips and one of her favorite activities to do at camp is swimming in the outdoor pool. Mr. Kieran was this week’s Counselor of the Week. He attends Temple University and had a great time helping all of our Gymnastics campers this week learn new skills!
