Camp Catch Up: Week 8

Week 8 was filled with a lot of fun activities. There were field trips to Happy Tymes and Penn’s Landing, Inventors lit up fluorescent light bulbs with static electricity, Diva Dance put on their very own dance routine and Frozen got to meet Princess Elsa!
Half Day Specialty
Our half day specialty camps this week were Frozen and Soccer camp!
Frozen camp this week got to build a snowman, make delicious snow-pops and even meet Princess Elsa!
Soccer campers practiced drills, new skills and techniques, and even got to play scrimmages.
Full Day Specialty
Our full day specialty camps this week were Inventors Workshop, Sports of All Sorts and Diva Dance.
This week, Sports of All Sorts played a bunch of different fun games. On Thursday, they played a combination of dodge ball and capture the flag and the campers loved it!
Diva Dance got to learn some new dance moves and even got to make a routine to Ariana Grande’s song “One Less Problem”!
Inventors Workshop were really busy this week. They made cardboard castles, guitars and even experimented with static electricity.
Teen Travel and CIT
This week our CIT campers learned some life guarding skills and even got a chance to put them to use by the pool! Teen Travel camp went Bowling on Wednesday and then Penn’s Landing on Friday to go rollerskating.
NACster
On Monday, NACster campers got to compete against their counselors in several different games. They played dodgeball, tug-of-war and even World Cup!
On Tuesday, they got to dress up in their favorite sports players jerseys for Jersey Day.
Wednesday was a really fun week for both NACster and Teen Travel campers. Both camps went bowling at Happy Tymes!
On Thursday, we had a huge Scavenger Hunt! Our campers got to search all over the NAC campus for clues and the winning group won a prize.
Last but not least, Friday was the Camp NAC Talent Show! Everyone had a great time cheering on their camp friends and seeing each camper’s unique talents.
Camp Champs
Our Camp Champs for Week 8 are Jaxon from Half Day Soccer Camp and Addison from NACster!
Addison is our Camp NAC camper of the week because she is always following the rules. Not to mention, she always makes sure her fellow campers have fun too!
Jaxon is our boy Camp NAC camper of the week because he is always so nice to his fellow campers and even nicer to his counselors! Jaxon always has a smile on his face and makes every day at camp a great day.
This week’s counselor of the week was Taylor. She is our Sports of All Sorts counselor. Taylor is our counselor of the week because she is always making sure her campers are having fun and staying active! Taylor is a model counselor and we’re so happy to have her back on staff this summer. She is currently a student at West Chester University.
