Fun Camp Games to Play at Home
Counting down the days until Camp NAC is back? You don’t need to wait for summer to play exhilarating and energetic camp games! Campers in Bucks County at Camp NAC participate in hundreds of entertaining games that we play throughout the summer! Can’t remember exactly how to play that one game that you loved during the summer at camp? We’ve got you covered! It’s starting to get cold outside, so it is a great time to learn all about these thrilling indoor games! Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy day or you want to teach your friends a new game, there are many ways to stay active while having fun!
- Prize Walk ~ Write numbers from 1-30 on squares and tape them to the ground in a circle. Make small numbered squares to correspond with the numbers on the ground and keep them in a basket. Start the game by having each child stand on a number and begin walking around the circle when the music starts. When the music stops they have to stand on a number. If their number is chosen from the basket, they win a prize. This game can continue until everyone wins a prize!
- Mummy Wrap ~ Tis the season for some mummies! Incorporate this game into an October birthday or even a Halloween-themed party. Divide kids into small groups and have them pick someone to be the mummy (or have an adult be the mummy). Pass out rolls of toilet paper to each group and whoever wraps up their mummy using all the toilet paper the quickest wins!
- Chicken ~ Choose one child to be “it”, and blindfold him or her. Turn her round a few times to disorientate her a little, while the other children group themselves around her. Then let her try to tag one of the other children, who will then become “it”. When a child is caught the blindfolded child must try to guess who it is by carefully feeling their face and hair.
Campers who are missing camp also have a chance to play their favorite games and activities at special school year events like School’s Out Camp and sleepovers! For more information, visit the Camp NAC website or call us at 215-944-8860.
