Camp NAC is Finally Here!

Today kicked off the beginning of an amazing summer of fun here at Camp NAC! We have been preparing since last summer to plan an incredible summer program for all of our Camp NAC campers. Both our new and returning staff were super excited to meet our first campers of the summer.
With camp completely moved over into our new facility at the NAC Sports Training Center, we were excited to be able to finally have campers utilize this brand new space. Campers spent time playing games, doing arts & crafts, and those who stayed for before and after care were able to relax and participate in a variety of activities in the new building.
Campers arrived this morning and parents were able to take advantage of our new drop off system. Counselors were stationed around the parking lot to walk campers in and check them into whichever camp they enrolled in. Camps offered this week include our NACster variety camp, half-day Lil Gymnastics camp and half-day Whales Tales camp.
Our special theme for NACster today was giant board games. NACster campers played with our jumbo-sized stack cups and even played giant jenga! A fun fitness class was also planned for campers in NACster. After a fun-filled morning of activities, campers were able to cool off from the summer sun in our beautiful outdoor pool complex.
Campers in the half day Lil Gymnastics camp spent their day on the Rockstarz side of our NAC Sports Training Center, learning new jumps on the trampoline and doing gymnastics obstacle courses. In addition to gymnastics, these campers make crafts and play games.
Whales Tales campers spent their day cooling off in the water at our resort style outdoor pool complex. These campers were able to work on improving their swimming skills and playing fun pool games. Skills practiced during this camp are based on the American Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program, and help younger campers learn how to be safe while still having fun.
What an awesome first day to the 2015 summer camp season! Our staff is super excited for the rest of the summer with all our amazing campers!
