Holiday Themed Crafts For Kids!
At Camp NAC, our campers love spending time getting creative with tons of fun crafts. As the holidays approach and the weather outside gets colder, campers will love to spend time indoors working on fun crafts. Check out these two holiday themed crafts that kids will love making and decorating themselves!
Hot Chocolate Mug
Step 1: Trace or draw a mug shape on to construction paper. Then, cut out the shape.
Step 2: Cut out an oval shape from brown construction paper and then glue onto your mug. This is going to be the hot chocolate inside of your mug!
Step 3: Grab some yarn and tie a piece into a bow. This can be done by wrapping the yarn around your finger and then tying a knot and a bow on top.
Step 4: Glue the bow onto your mug. Then cut the fuzzy tips off of two Q-tips. These are going to be our marshmallows!
Step 5: Put four dots of glue on your brown hot chocolate. Then stick on your Q-tip pieces. Make sure to give time for the glue to dry!
Enjoy a real mug of yummy hot chocolate to celebrate finishing this awesome craft!
Sled Ornaments
Step 1: Grab a handful of popsicle sticks for this fun craft.
Step 2: Break one stick in half and then glue one side.
Step 3: Arrange 5 popsicle sticks in a staggered formation and stick to the glued side of the broken sticks.
Step 4: Once dry, flip the sled over and glue two popsicle sticks to the other side of the broken sticks. These are the feet of the sled.
Step 5: Glue a front piece between the two feet of the sled. This is where you will tie the string in order to hang on your tree.
Decorate your sled and hang it up for all to see!
