How to Know Your Child is Ready for Summer Camp
Summer camp can be an unforgettable experience for kids of all ages. At Camp NAC, our staff knows that no two campers are exactly the same, which is why it can sometimes be hard to figure out when your child is ready to enroll in camp. With these helpful hints, any parent will be able to identify how to know when their child is ready for a summer of fun at Camp NAC!
Potty Trained — Camp NAC welcomes campers of all ages, the only requirement for enrollment is that campers are fully potty trained.
Independence – If your camper can be independent and spend time away from you for an extended period of time then they may be ready for summer camp. Camp NAC also offers half day camps from 9:00-11:30am for campers ages 3-5 to easily transition into independence.
Social Skills – Summer camp requires campers to participate in group activities. If your camper interacts well with others in a group setting, then summer camp would be a great experience. Campers will be in a group the majority of the time playing organized sports games and other group activities throughout the camp day.
According to Camp NAC Director, Amanda Brown, “You know your child best. We have a variety of camp programs to fit campers of all ages. Whether your camper is ready for half day or full days of camp, they are guaranteed to have a blast!”
No matter what, summer camp is a great experience for campers of all ages. Contact Camp NAC’s leadership team to make a personalized plan for your camper’s specific needs.
