Fun Camp Games to Play at Home

Your camper knows that there are several different types of camp games to play! There are sports games, sitting games, tag games, races, calm games, parachute games, water games, and icebreakers just to name a few! Although we can’t squeeze all our favorite camp games into one day, no matter how hard we try, we want you campers to be able to play some at home with your children! A day at Camp NAC may end, but the fun never should! Whether you’re looking for something to do on a rainy weekend, or you want to show your friends how much fun you have at camp, there are plenty of ways to stay active while having a great time!
Sausage- Have everyone sit in a circle. The person who is “it” stands in the center of the circle. Each person asks the person who is “it” a question. The only answer to every question can be sausage. The first person to make the center person laugh wins a turn in the middle! Ex. “What do you brush your teeth with?” – Sausage.
What Time is it Mr. Fox?- Mr. Fox starts out at one end of the room/yard with his back to the group. The group then yells out “What time is it Mr. Fox?” Mr. Fox will call out a time that is even on the hour (1 o’clock- 12 o’clock) . The group then takes that many steps toward Mr. Fox. When the group gets to  where the fox is, but not past him, and asks the time, the fox can yell “Midnight!!” They turn and chase the group. Those that he catches are out, the last one left becomes the fox.
I’m Having a Party- The leader informs the others that they are having a party, but there isn’t enough room for everyone. The kids need to ask permission if they can go. The leader may say yes or no, and they will invite only certain people. The kids have to guess why some people are invited but not others. (Ex. If people raise their hand when asking, people who are wearing the color blue, if they have blonde hair, etc)
Hopefully these will become favorite games of our friends who don’t play them at Camp NAC.
